No Indonesian Victim in Davao Blast: Report.

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Trini Sualang, staff at the Indonesian Embassy in Manila, Philippines, confirmed that as of now, there is no Indonesian citizens affected in the blast that hit Davao city in the southern Philippines.

The blast has left 14 dead and wounded dozens of people.

"Based on the temporary report, there's no Indonesian affected by the blast," Trini said on Saturday (3/9).

Trini added following the blast on Friday, the Indonesian Consulate General in Davao continued to find Indonesians who might be among the victims.

The Indonesian Consulate General has visited a number of hospitals and so far there has been no report of Indonesians as the victims in the blast that happened in the night market near Ateneo University, Davao.

Trini added that the Consulate General also continued to warn Indonesians in Davao and Manila to stay vigilant and ask them to avoid crowded places that can become the targets of terrorists.

Based on data from Foreign Affairs Ministry, the number of Indonesian citizens in the Philippines reaches 7,183 people while in Davao, there are 2,183 Indonesian registered.

Based on the most recent information, the number of victims of the explosion is 14 people, while the number of people injured is 71 people.

The incident was allegedly carried out by the militant group Abu Sayyaf.

The Indonesian government has also expressed its condolences to the Government of the Philippines and to the affected families.
