'One Piece Film: Gold' premieres in Indonesia.
The Japanese animated movie One Piece Film: Gold, based on the long-running manga and anime of the same title by Eiichiro Oda, premiered in Indonesia on Wednesday.
The movie follows a young man named Monkey D. "Straw Hat" Luffy who aspires to become a great pirate, Antara news agency reported. Together with his friends, Luffy travels across the ocean looking for treasure called One Piece.

The story begins in Gran Tesoro, an independent state ruled by the World Government, which serves as an abode for famous pirates, mariners and millionaires from around the world. There, Luffy meets the country's ruler, golden emperor Gild Tesoro, who pays off everyone to take his side so that he can satisfy his ambition of taking control of the New World.
Creator Eiichiro Oda reportedly acted as executive producer on the movie, while Hiroaki Miyamoto was director. Both have often been involved in the franchise's TV series and movies.
In Japan, the film was released at the end of June and immediately dominated the box office. In Indonesia, the film will be released through cinema chain CGV Blitz. (kha/kes)
