Halal Lifestyle Expo 2016 Supports Indonesia`s Tourism.
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Halal Lifestyle Center will hold Indonesia International Halal Lifestyle Expo & Conference (IIHLEC) 2016 at Ciputra Artpreneur in Kasablanka, South Jakarta, on October 6 to 8, 2016.
Halal Lifestyle Center chairman Sapta Nirwandar said countries around the world have their own regular events in relation to halal industry, even those whose majority population are not Muslim.
"The event is expected to turn Indonesia into one of the countries who organize Halal Expo and Conferences. We are hopeful of being included in the gobal agenda for October 2017 and 2018," Sapta said on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.
Supported by Industry Ministry, Tourism Ministry, Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Sharia Economic Society (MES), and Ciputra Artpreneur, the event will be the first of its kind in Indonesia.
The IIHLEC is Indonesia's effort to face competition in global halal industry. The event will prove that Indonesia as a Muslim-majority country is not only a consumer of halal products, but also a manufacturer.
